Sania got engaged with her longtime friend Sohrab Mirza on July 10, 2009. Sohrab belongs to a business family in Hyderabad. At present, he is pursuing his business studies in United Kingdom. The glittering engagement ceremony of Sania Mirza and Sohrab was held at a luxury hotel in Hyderabad.
When approached Sania Mirza to comment, she categorically denied to divulge in reason but confirmed that engagement was called off. Sania said, “We were friends for half a decade, but found ourselves incompatible during our engagement period. I wish Sohrab the best in life.”
